updated: why the wise are silent

The wise are silent because they realize what it takes to love as God loves.

The wise are silent because they’re listening within.

Silence listens to love and grace, the sunshine and rain in the fields of being.

We sow, we reap, we harvest, we weed, we nourish, we plow, and so many other efforts.

We also write. Is that wise?

  1. Love this and smile at the last line. My Michael has this silent wisdom and a great love for the Lord. I, on the other hand, am learning silence. Some days are very hard, especially today as I am on my second espresso. Thanks, Mike!

  2. Only wise if God kicks us in the butt to do it.

BTW, I really like a thought in the book where you point out that if you’ve stopped working out so many times—then you’ve also BEGAN many times! I like it a lot!

    • Thanks so very much for that! I’d covet your review on Amazon if after reading you believe it is a book that would truly help others too! I have another blog that I believe will eventually do pretty well and which could hit on policy matters to include education / schools / and home schooling…If it flies and gets good readership, I’d like to reference your homeschooling blog and / or have guest write on the homeschooling topic. Let me know if that would interest you at any point!

      • Thanks, Mike. I will. Lately, I’m slow on getting things done. The extra 1-2 hours I used to use for reading and blogging have been transferred to pregnancy-induced need for sleep. Not sure it will improve with a newborn, either! So I’m just kind of in a holding pattern for now. I will write up something for Amazon when I am finished and gathered thoughts. Warmest wishes, Terri

      • Only if you think it will really help others. Beyond that, peace and good health to you as you adjust to carrying, and nourishing, and occasionally feeling like a personal trainer getting kick-boxed from the inside-in. Sleep on!

  3. I want to to thank you for this excellent read!! I absolutely
enjoyed every little bit of it. I’ve got you saved as a favorite to check out new
    stuff you post…
