For two days I have been adjusting to meds & effects surrounding a corrective vision surgery. I took antibiotics surrounding the PRK procedure. After coming off the meds, I couldn’t keep much onboard. This caused weakness, and together with upper 90’s weather, made for a less hydrated state for training.
Adaptations: Feeling queasy and off, I opted to do some gentle flexibility work as part of the workday and later, spotting my child at the park. I also ate less, bringing the calorie count lower in keeping with a recess in training. However, I dropped water intake — a mistake.
Today, feeling better but not out of the woods, I’m focusing on hydration & readiness for a late day session of training as late August temperatures cool.
